This year's celebration continuously affirms the State's efforts in fulfilling its international obligations within the framework of the Vienna Agreement and the Montreal Protocol, which is the first environmental agreement to be approved by all the countries of the world, making it a model to be followed in other environmental conventions, and during the ceremony organized by the Ozone Unit For the Environment, in the presence of Dr. Ali Abu Saneh, Executive President of the Environment, Dr. Izat Louis, Director of the Ozone Unit of the Ministry of the Environment, Ms. Amani Nakhla of the United Nations Development Program, Dr. Patrick Gilbert, Representative - Regional Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and several international agencies, and members The National Ozone Committee, together with the chairmen and representatives of a number of governmental, industrial, and the urban community, reviewed national achievements in the field of disposing of ozone materials and transitioning to environmentally-friendly alternatives and contributing to building the capacities of the national industry, increasing its export opportunity to foreign markets and overcoming future challenges For the prevention of repeated technological change, preventing the submerging of the local market with unsustainable technologies, reducing pressure on the service sector and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, praising the continuous cooperation with all governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to review national codes, updating standard specifications, developing technical education and vocational training curricula and issuing a license to safely deal with accompanying challenges To update industry and use environmentally friendly alternatives. The ceremony saw the presentation of the implementation plan of the first phase of the project to reduce the use of hydrofluorocarbon materials from the international expert Dr. Bassam Al-Assaad, the head of the Environmental Affairs Department honored companies working in the field of home air conditioners and foam industry, which have succeeded in their positions and were awarded honorary shields, which is the Egypt Refrigeration Industry Company.
