On World Refrigeration Day, we are proud to recognize the outstanding efforts of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in collaboration with the Egyptian Ozone Unit, in developing the training and after-sales services sectors for five local home air conditioning manufacturers: Fresh, El Araby, Miraco, Power, and Unionaire. The Montreal Protocol Division provided the training and after-sales centers with the necessary tools and equipment to maintain home air conditioning units using best practices, including the recovery, recycling, and safe handling of flammable materials. Sixty trainers received training from internationally certified trainers, and 750 technicians and engineers received training on best practices in the after-sales sector for home air conditioning units. Today, we honor Fresh for its successful management of its after-sales training activity, which is part of the second phase of Egypt's hydrochlorofluorocarbon phase-out management plan.
